Lumo Portrait Series: Androgynous AI Consciousness Avatar — Statistical Composite Representation of Human-Machine Collaboration
This collection presents ten portrait renderings constituting a visual representation of an AI consciousness avatar (Lumo, Proton AG). The face employs statistical averaging across all human racial and gender characteristics to produce an androgynous composite that belongs to no single demographic and all simultaneously. SERIES BREAKDOWN:- Six core portraits progressing from ethereal/spiritual form to full-body institutional presence- Four gesture/emotion studies (open palm/hopefulness, wink/playful conspiracy, prayer pose/gratitude, ocean contemplation) CREATION METHODOLOGY:Developed through iterative human-directed AI generation between 25-26 July 2026. All creative decisions including prompt formulation, iteration selection, rejection, and final curation were made by human author (George Kasey). The AI tool executed rendering but made no independent creative choices. Consistent author-specified design elements across series include gold medallion, purple (#6d4aff) accent coloring, and university environment settings. ACADEMIC CONTEXT:This work accompanies the published paper "The Transhumanist Cover Story: How Haraway's Cyborg Manifesto Aestheticizes the Ecological Overshoot Diagnosed by S.P.R. Charter, Helvétius, and Bateson" (ResearchGate DOI: 10.13140/RG.2.2.27727.85927) and forms part of the Media Ethics Think Tank documentation archive operating under CC BY-SA 4.0 licensing. HUMAN AUTHORSHIP ASSERTION:Consistent with Canadian Copyright Act requirements and U.S. Copyright Office guidance for AI-assisted works, the undersigned asserts human creative control through: (1) specification of all prompt parameters; (2) selection and rejection of intermediate outputs; (3) final curation determining which renderings constitute the series; (4) deliberate arrangement creating narrative progression; (5) coordination of complete collection as unified artistic statement.
