Art in the AI Era and the Preemption of the ADFA-on-Canvas Protocol

Gyeongho Kang

The explosion of AI-generated imagery and generative neural network data systematically threatens human artistic originality. Digital spaces are oversaturated with code-driven "copycats" and continuous web-scraping. This crisis creates an urgent need for a robust socio-aesthetic framework to defend human subjecthood and establish a firm, data-resistant aesthetic boundary line. This paper introduces the theoretical and practical framework of the ADFA Protocol (ADFA Protocol) and ADFA-on-Canvas. Unlike generative AI that exists only in binary latent spaces, ADFA-on-Canvas directly fuses AI-generated vector pixels with the organic, biological, and physical "noise" of the human artist. Computer algorithms merely generate pseudo-randomness based on deterministic formulas, whereas physical environments generate true random entropy and analog chaos that cannot be reduced by reverse engineering. By embedding unpredictable human physical traces—such as the micro-tremors of the hand and the physical friction of paint—directly into the digital-analog boundary, the protocol establishes an irreducible, non-replicable material presence. Rather than claiming private ownership, the protocol is structuralized as an open-source public good under the Creative Commons License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This strategy triggers the Active Chitaisme Effect (흡수적 기태 효과), a macro-absorption phenomenon where secondary mutations and community-driven forks exponentially reinforce the authority, legacy, and authenticity of the original creator. This framework aims to decentralize the contemporary art market (K-Art-nomics), positioning local art hubs (e.g., Busan) as vibrant testbeds that subvert the rigid monopoly of hyper-capitalized global mega-markets. Ultimately, the data-resistant ADFA Protocol serves as a powerful aesthetic shield, ensuring that human consciousness remains the ultimate anchor in a post-human creative ecosystem.

The Value of Data in the Pre-AI Era | 前AI时代的数据价值

WU, JEFFI CHAO HUI

(Algorithmic Attribution and Dynamic Revenue-Routing Infrastructure for Japanese IP Content Preservation in the Generative AI Era)

A Kijinsuke
