Digital Leadership in Industry 4.0 and 5.0

The move from 4.0 to 5.0 is more evolutionary than revolutionary but it represents a transition away from pure automation efficiency (4.0) toward more human-centered, sustainable and resilient systems that combines advanced technology such as AI/Internet of Things with human creativity, collaboration (cobots ) & mass customization to satisfy societal needs. Therefore, such a transition necessitates new leadership which can best function in the changed environment. Informed by an integrative review approach, this paper critically investigates the change of leadership paradigms and practice and how technology plays a key role in shaping new leadership practices. It can be concluded from the findings of this study that leadership in Industry 5.0 is multidimensional and multi-dimensional. It’s no longer just simply a matter of merging known leadership styles, as was arguably the case with Industry 4.0; instead it is a new synthesis-based on symbiotic leadership –flowing from big data (incorporating AI). With these conditions, leadership becomes neurodigital. From the concept of simbiotic leadership, a neurodigital triad methodological about digital strategic setting goals and planning in leadreship digital on Industrial 5.0 is proposed. This study is aligned with the development of a methodology and applied instruments to form new socio-economic, cybersocial, and neurodigital ecosystems.
