EGYPT AGRI-URBAN INTELLIGENCE (EAUI) : An AI-Augmented Digital Twin Framework for Agricultural Settlement Development Decision Support in Egypt

Hassanein Bahaaeldin

Egypt Agri-Urban Intelligence (EAUI) Model: Digital Twin Framework for Agricultural Settlement Development The Egypt Agri-Urban Intelligence (EAUI) model is a computational decision-support tool and digital twin framework designed specifically for agricultural settlement planning in the Global South. Developed as a lightweight, self-contained single-file HTML5 application (~3.5 MB), the model is deployable without internet connectivity, server infrastructure, or software installation, making it highly accessible for planning authorities in resource-constrained environments. The model framework compresses analytical workflows that conventionally require months of multi-disciplinary team effort into AI-assisted cycles of under 15 minutes, quantifying spatial readiness, supply chain logistics, and investment priorities. The EAUI framework operates via four primary analytical engines: Integrated Settlement Viability Assessment Model (ISVAM): Computes a 0–100 standardized competitiveness score utilizing a weighted algorithm across five capital dimensions (Natural, Human, Physical, Urban, and Social/Policy). Porter Value Chain (VCM) Generator: Computationally reconstructs a three-scope agricultural export supply chain (Source Land, Manufacturing, Export Port) to map the physical and economic journey from farm to destination market. Destination Market Intelligence: Evaluates trade compatibility across 17 global destination markets. Scenario Analysis Engine: Simulates six macro-infrastructure scenarios (e.g., Suez Canal Expansion, Agricultural Export Corridors, Climate Threats) to generate phased risk assessments and mitigation strategies. NOTE: To Peer Reviewers: This software is provided under restricted access for double-blind peer review. To evaluate the model, download the HTML5 file and open it in any standard, modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Safari). The core analytical engines operate entirely locally via JavaScript. For full narrative report generation, an active API connection to Anthropic's Claude Sonnet is required, though the mathematical spatial modeling and supply chain computations will execute entirely offline.
